Dolly Wave features a delicious Honduran coffee we love each year. This harvest season highlights an organic coffee grown by women farmers from the COMSA cooperative in Marcala, Honduras.

Origin

Marcala, Honduras is a city in the department of La Paz and known for its coffee production. 

In late 2013, a group of women coffee producers in the COMSA cooperative started an initiative to improve their living and economic conditions. They named this organization “Manos de Mujer,” (Women’s Hands), and in addition to producing excellent coffee they diversified their crops to create additional sources of income and provide nourishment for themselves and their communities. Their goal is to “promote gender equality at the farms and throughout the country.”
